What is the Hokkaido Detour?
A two-week powder road trip set in a unique country with an exotic culture and rich history.
Amazing snow and a great variety of terrain. Secret stashes in off-the-beaten-track locations and selective timing for hitting the better known spots. Two different bases and a night in Sapporo city. A fully mobile and flexible daily itinerary, finding the best snow each and every day.
Highly experienced (and qualified) guides/coaches to find the best locations, along with a wee bit of coaching for those who desire it. This Detour is setup to be 80% guiding-based and 20% coaching-based.

Who is this Detour for?
People who can ski/ride powder already!
You don’t have to be an expert and you don’t need to be dropping cliffs or bombing gnarly lines. But you DO have to be comfortable skiing/riding in the trees and making turns in deeper snow without getting stuck all the time.
That said, if you’re struggling a little, you have nothing to worry about… While this Detour is 80% guiding-based, we will have a top ski and a top snowboard coach on the trip to help anyone out that needs it. Use it to build more confidence taking tighter lines or to fine-tune your pow sprays… or just enjoy our side-splitting humour.
